Shortdeck

Shortdeck poker or (Hold'em 6+), also known as "Shortdeck Texas", is a popular variant of traditional Texas Hold'em.

The main difference is the number of cards: Shortdeck uses a 36-card deck, with cards from deuce to five removed. The absence of these cards makes the game much more dynamic and seriously changes the strategy.

Deck

The game uses a shortened card deck with cards from 6 and up (hence the name 6+ Hold'em), namely 6, 7, 8, 9, T, J, Q, K, A.

Mandatory bets

Ante: Each player bets an ante before the start of the hand.

Blind: The player on the Button also places a blind equal to the ante before the start of the hand.

Game

The gameplay of Shortdeck is identical to that of No-Limit Hold'em (betting, bidding rounds, streets, etc.).

Shortdeck combinations and their precedence

Due to the reduced number of cards in Shortdeck poker, the players' value is very close. At the same time, compared to Texas Hold'em, the precedence of combinations is different. Pokerbet uses this kind of precedence:

Shortdeck offers an exciting and dynamic poker variant that is sure to appeal to those looking for something new or looking for more action at the tables. Good luck!
