Poker combinations
In the most popular form of poker, Texas Hold'em, there are 10 winning combinations that consist of five general board cards and two player cards. When you playing in Texas Hold'em in order to win a game, in poker it's called a hand, it's quite obvious that you need to hold the highest possible hand (combination) among the other players involved in the game. It is also necessary for you to know the hand rankings inside out.
In poker cards are indicated by the letters of the English alphabet and numbers: 10 (ten), J (jack), Q (lady), K (king), A (ace). There are special notations for the suits: h (hearts), d (diamond), s (spade), c (club). Without understanding the importance of this basic set of the rules as well as the possible combinations it can be rather difficult for you to distinguish the difference between possibly winning and definitely losing.
Below you'll find the poker hands listed from the highest to the lowest.
Royal Flush
This is a sequential combination of five cards of the same suit - from 10 to Ace. Speaking in the language of poker, "Royal Flush" is a kind of combination of "Flush" and "Street", the highest card of which is the Ace. Accordingly, this is the sequence of the oldest cards of the same suit.
Straight Flush
This is a sequential combination of five cards of the same suit. "Street Flush" is a combination of "Flush" and "Street", except the oldest combination - "Royal Flush". Accordingly, this is a continuous sequence of cards of the same suit. The position of the "Street" combination is determined depending on which of the last "Street" cards is the highest.
Four of a Kind
The four cards are the same value. For example, four jacks or four 7's. It is worth noting that this combination is the third most powerful combination in the Texas Hold'em. Quads beat all other combinations except "Street Flush" and "Flush Royal".
Full House
Three cards of the same rank (triplet) plus two cards of the other rank (pair). The advantage of Full-House is given by the size of three identical cards. That is, in the case when several players in the hands of the "Full House", wins the one with the highest triplet. For example, Q, Q, Q, 3.3 wins in J, J, J, 5.5.
Flush
This is a non-consistent combination of any five cards of the same suit. For example: 5, T, Q, 6, K of diamond suit. In the case when "Flush" appears in the hands of both of the players, wins the one with the last card to be ranked higher. If the top card in both pokers of the same rank, the winner is determined by the second card. If the cards are identical, then players divide the pot equally.
Straight
A sequence of five different card suits. "Straight" - a combination in which all without exception maps are arranged in a consistent order. That is, the poker party will not continue if you have a lady, a king, an ace, six and seven, for example. According to the standard poker rules, in the event that "Straights" is more than one, the winner is the one with the higher "Straight" combination. If the Staights combination is the same, then the bank divides. Interesting fact: despite the fact that such combinations are not so common, however, there are two possible combinations with the Ace in the "Straight": the younger (A,2,3,4,5) and the older one (A,K,D,B,10).
Three of a Kind (Triplet)
So called three cards of the same magnitude. How easy it is to guess, if several players simultaneously dropped the triplet, wins the one whose cards are older. When two players have the same triplets win the one with the highest kicker (2 cards not included in the triplets).
Two Pair
Two pairs of cards, where pairs make cards of the same rank. In other words, it is a combination of two pairs of cards. For example, two ladies and two jacks. Couples can consist of hand-held cards and table cards. In the case of a draw, a higher pair is generally considered to be the winner. In rare cases, if both pairs of two players coincide, the winner identifies by the kicker (a card that does not participate in the combination).
Pair
Two cards of the same rank. In those cases where both players dropped bets, wins the one whose rank of bet is higher. When the pairs of cards are the same, the winner determines the rank of the cards of the kickers.
High Card Hand
In cases where 5 cards do not constitute any of the winning combinations, the victory may be won by the older card.
Let's consider this situation - The first player has As, 5d, the second has 7d, 8s, and the third player got Jh, 9h. On the table 5s, 7h, 5h, Ah, 7s. The first thing that goes into the eye is that all the players have picked up good combinations. The first player managed to build a full house of five pitches and aces. The second player has a full house of five and seven, and the third one got the junior flush. The third player scored the weakest combination, so he automatically fights out. Of the two full houses, wins the one which has the three cards elder than other player. So, the player draws a player with a triplet of seedlings.
Another example - Both poker players have two misclassic aces on their hands. On the table we see Th, Jh, Kh, Jc, 2h. The rivals have the same pocket cards, but on the table we see four cards of the hearts suit. Thus, the first player, with a flash from ace to two, overcomes. The second player collected only two pairs.
